Please read these terms carefully before booking or using our services. By booking a service with Coastal Clear Window Cleaning, you agree to the terms set out on this page.

About Us

Coastal Clear Window Cleaning provides professional window cleaning and related services in San Clemente, CA and the surrounding South Orange County area. These terms govern the relationship between Coastal Clear Window Cleaning (“we,” “us,” “our”) and any customer who books or uses our services (“you,” “the customer”).

Services

We provide window cleaning, screen cleaning, hard water spot removal, post-construction window cleaning, and related services as quoted. The specific scope of work is agreed at the time of booking or site assessment.

Scope changes. If we arrive on site and find contamination, access conditions, or glass condition that materially differs from what was described at quote, we will inform you before starting any additional work and provide a revised quote. We do not begin out-of-scope work without your agreement.

Service limitations. We will tell you honestly if a condition — such as Stage 4 hard water etching or permanent paint bonding — cannot be fully resolved by our services. We do not charge for outcomes we have told you in advance are not achievable.

Quotes and Pricing

Quotes are provided by phone or in person based on the information you give us about your property. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date provided.

On-site variation. If site conditions differ significantly from what was described at quote — additional windows, unexpected contamination, restricted access — we will discuss and agree any price adjustment with you before starting work.

Specialist treatments. Hard water removal, post-construction cleaning, and glass restoration polishing are priced separately from standard window cleaning and quoted individually based on site assessment.

No hidden fees. The price we quote is the price you pay, provided site conditions match what was described. We do not add charges after the job without prior agreement.

Booking and Scheduling

Bookings are confirmed by phone. We will confirm your appointment window and call you the day before to confirm the visit.

Access. You are responsible for ensuring we have safe and legal access to all areas included in the booked service. If access is blocked or unsafe on arrival, we may be unable to complete the job, and a call-out fee may apply.

Cancellations by you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (949) 408-1235 at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to $75 to cover travel and scheduling costs.

Cancellations by us. We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to weather conditions, equipment issues, or other circumstances outside our control. We will notify you as early as possible and reschedule at the earliest available time convenient for you.

Recurring accounts. Customers on recurring cleaning schedules will receive advance notice of any changes to their schedule. Either party may discontinue a recurring arrangement with reasonable notice.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of each visit unless a recurring billing arrangement has been agreed in advance.

Accepted payment methods. We accept cash, check, and electronic payment methods as advised at the time of booking.

Late payment. Invoices not paid within 14 days of the service date may incur a late payment fee. Accounts more than 30 days overdue may be referred for collection.

General contractor accounts. GC accounts with agreed billing terms are invoiced per the terms of the standing arrangement.

Our Guarantee

We stand behind our work. If streaks, spots, or missed areas are identified within 48 hours of a completed visit, contact us, and we will return to address them at no charge.

This guarantee applies to work completed by Coastal Clear Window Cleaning using our standard process. It does not apply to:

  • Recontamination from rain, irrigation, or salt air after we have left
  • Conditions caused by pre-existing glass damage, failed seals, or fabricating debris
  • Areas that were inaccessible or excluded from the original scope
  • Hard water etching or permanent damage that was identified and disclosed before work began

Glass Condition and Pre-Existing Damage

We inspect glass before starting work and will note any pre-existing damage — scratches, chips, failed seals, fabricating debris, or etching — before we begin. This protects both parties.

Fabricating debris. Tempered glass sometimes contains small glass particles embedded in the surface during manufacture (fabricating debris). If a razor blade or cleaning tool contacts fabricating debris during cleaning, it can create a scratch. We check for fabricating debris before any razor work and document findings. We are not liable for scratches resulting from undisclosed fabricating debris that was not visible on inspection.

Old or single-pane glass. Older glass, particularly original single-pane glass in historic San Clemente properties, may be more fragile than modern tempered glass. We will advise you of any concerns before starting work.

Property Access and Safety

Safe working conditions. We reserve the right to refuse or pause work if site conditions pose a safety risk to our team — including unstable surfaces, blocked access, unsafe ladders or scaffold conditions, or aggressive animals on the property.

Roof and tile. We do not walk on clay tile or concrete tile roofs unless explicitly quoted and agreed in advance. Our water-fed pole system is designed to avoid roof contact. We are not responsible for damage to tile, gutters, or roofing materials caused by pre-existing structural weakness unrelated to our work.

Personal property. Please ensure that outdoor furniture, plants, ornaments, and other items near windows are moved or secured before our arrival. We take care around the property, but we cannot be responsible for pre-existing damage or for items that are damaged due to conditions outside our control.

Liability

Our liability. Coastal Clear Window Cleaning carries general liability insurance. If we cause damage to your property through our negligence, we will work with you to resolve the issue fairly.

Limits. Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided on the visit in question, except where greater liability is required by applicable law. We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or economic losses.

Your liability. You are responsible for ensuring accurate information is provided at the time of booking — including window count, access conditions, and any known glass defects. Providing inaccurate information that results in additional costs may result in a revised charge.
